GEOGNOSTIC AND STRUCTURAL INVESTIGATIONS – MONUMENTAL CEMETERY OF NORCIA (PG)

Campaign of geognostic and structural investigations preparatory to the drafting of the definitive-executive project of the works of "Repair, seismic improvement and restoration of the Monumental Cemetery of Norcia" (PG) seriously damaged following the seismic sequence of Central Italy in 2016-2017.

The structural investigations specifically consisted of: 32 hand tests to verify corners, connections, wall typologies, 1 test with the double flat jack technique, 62 endoscopic investigations to verify the nature, conditions and continuity of vertical walls (E) and vaults (Ev); n° 7 samples/penetrometric tests on mortars (Pm) for the determination of the characteristic resistance of the binders in various points of the cemetery complex. In addition to the structural tests, 16 foundation excavations, 1 geotechnical survey and 1 seismic down hole test were carried out.
