PRELIMINARY GEOLOGICAL INVESTIGATIONS FOR SAFETY INTERVENTIONS – METROPOLITANA DI NAPOLI S.P.A. – VIA S.MARIA DEL PIANTO (NA)

Preliminary surveys and geognostic investigations for the extremely urgent works made necessary following the instability recorded since January 2020 in via S. Maria del Pianto, near the M.N. construction site. S.p.A. for the construction of aeration chamber no. 03. The causes of these failures were identified as water infiltrations into the subsoil starting from a 100 mm pressurized water pipe; in order to verify the extent and extension of the effects of such infiltrations, and the presence of anomalies such as evidence of any further phenomena of water infiltration, voids or underground cavities, they were carried out by the undersigned, in agreement with the Management Works by M.N., the following first investigations: n° 1 preparation for Superficial Electrical Tomography (T.G.), processed with the 3D method and, on the basis of the results of these activities, n° 7 penetrometric tests with D.P.M. techniques.
