On behalf of the University of Campania “L. VANVITELLI” Geotec Srl carried out a series of surveys and structural investigations relating to the functional recovery intervention of the SA1 classroom, in the S. Andrea delle Dame complex in Naples located within the University Hospital of P.zza Luigi Miraglia ( so-called “old Polyclinic”), in the historic city centre. Following the declared unusability of the classroom due to rainwater infiltration, it was necessary to carry out a campaign of investigations that would allow obtaining information/certifications on the properties of the construction materials, on the construction details, as well as on some of the geometries of the load-bearing structures in elevation and foundation. Specifically, these investigations consisted of: 11 cores, 6 bar samples, 25 pachometric tests, laboratory tests on the samples taken, combined Sonreb tests, 12 durometric tests, tests and load tests on attic, 2 endoscopic investigations and 1 foundation test.
